On the evening of January 1, 2019, the third "OPT - Optimum Cup" basketball tournament kicked off at the outdoor basketball court of VIVO Cultural and Sports Centre in Chang'an Town. The main participants of the tournament were Samson, Tide, Zhengyu Carbon Black, OPT, Century Advertising - Dragon, Start Sports and Youhe Engineering, with a total of eight teams.

OPT Basketball Tournament Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony was marked by exciting performances by the basketball kids, the street dance group and the Hongyuan Basketball Babies of Faith Band to bring the atmosphere on the court to a climax. The organizing committee of the conference introduced the flow of the competition in detail and put forward the relevant requirements. The referees, who were uniformly assigned by the Organizing Committee, took the oath respectively.

Highlights of the first match
After the opening ceremony, the players of each team entered the field immediately afterwards. The first match was played between Dongguan Opte and Century Advertising - Shunde Dragons, and the second group match was played between Dongguan Start Sports and Dongguan Youhe Engineering.

The first team match was won by Shunde Century Advertising 89:60 against Optimum in the match.
The second group match was won by Dongguan Youhe Engineering Team with 73:68 against Dongguan Start Sports Team.
Tournament Places and Prizes
The top four places will be awarded with prizes of RMB 80,000 for the champion, RMB 20,000 for the runner-up, RMB 10,000 for the third place and RMB 5,000 for the fourth place; RMB 2,000 for the final scoring champion; and RMB 1,000 for the three-point champion.
Samson Technology to put on a show tonight
Tonight's group games have Zhengyu Charcoal versus Samson and Little Genius versus the Tide, so stay tuned for some exciting basketball from Samson Technology tonight.
